Dane Fannin is Senior Vice President and Global Head of Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) and Securities Finance at Northern Trust based in Chicago.

Dane is responsible for the strategic direction, alignment and growth across the suite of GFX and Securities Finance solutions spanning the US, EMEA and APAC regions.

Northern Trust’s Securities Finance platform offers an integrated set of Securities Lending, Financing and Collateral capabilities  allowing clients to  drive greater portfolio optimization and liquidity management. GFX provides a range of liquidity, trading, transaction processing and outsourced FX solutions for institutional investors across Direct FX, eFX, Currency Management, Complete FX™ and Custody FX. 

Prior to this role, Dane spent 12 years in Asia-Pacific holding a number of positions within Northern Trust’s Capital Markets franchise, most recently as Head of Capital Markets Asia-Pacific where he had oversight for the regional Securities Lending and Brokerage businesses leading teams based in Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney. Dane also spent a number of years managing the APAC Securities Lending trading team in Hong Kong. Dane first joined Northern Trust in 2006, where he started his career within Securities Lending based in London.
